IBEW Local 103 Toy Drive
For the past four years, Stewart Electrical Contracting, Inc. has been honored to support the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103 annual Toy and Hats & Gloves Drive, helping families in need across the greater Boston area. This year was no exception!
Our stops included Everett City Hall, Clarendon Hill Towers, Somerville City Hall (where @Colby had the pleasure of meeting Somerville Mayor @Katjana Ballantyne), the Lawrence Boys & Girls Club, and Methuen City Hall.
A huge thank you to Bernie Sharpe David O’Laughlin, Tim Long, Jay Frazier, Rene Dozier and Louis Antonellis for their hard work and dedication to making this possible, and to Amy Rottler from SEC for teaming up with Colby Bruce to deliver these donations. Together, we’re making a difference in our community!

Colby Bruce graduates from NECA Innovation Institute
Please join us in congratulating Colby Bruce on graduating from the Innovation Institute Bell Cohort through the National Electrical Contractors Association - NECA.
The graduation ceremony was the culmination of a very comprehensive year-long program with peers in the electrical field. All of us at Stewart Electrical Contracting, Inc. are very proud of Colby and this impressive accomplishment!
The black tie ceremony was located in San Diego, CA. He attended with his beautiful, and very supportive wife, Sara Bruce. (September 28 - October 1st, 2024)

In August 2024, Colby Bruce presented his final project at the Willard Inter-Continental Hotel on Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, DC.

MESA membership is comprised of elevator consultants, elevator contractors, inspectors, elevator industry vendors, building owners, the Elevator Board of Regulations for the Commonwealth and those interested in the elevator field. There is no other group of this type in the area where representatives from the consulting firms working in Massachusetts, the Board of Elevator Regulations, and representatives from many of the Commonwealth’s elevator companies come together on a regular basis.
Colby Bruce gave an informative presentation: Related Work by Others: Important Code Requirments & How “Turn-Key” Contractors Can Help”. (See below for Slide presentation). The event also included networking, vendor displays, cocktail hour, lunch, shop tour, giveaways, a raffle, and corn hole games.

Stewart Electrical Personifies the 'Spirit of Giving'
Stewart Electrical Contracting was among several NECA Contractors to participate in IBEW Local 103’s annual toy drive. In addition to donating $500 worth of hats, gloves, and toys, the company contributed the use of its box truck to help deliver the donated items to the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club and Methuen City Hall, where they were shipped to communities throughout the Boston region. Although it was a bit windy and cold, that didn’t stop Colby Bruce and Dennis Cole along with 2 of our valuable clients from enjoying the Smuttynose BeKIND charity golf tournament. The Smuttynose BeKIND initiative teamed up with PGA HOPE New England, a non-profit program partnered with PGA professionals to introduce the game of golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. A portion of event proceeds and raffle ticket sales will be donated to PGA HOPE New England to support their cause.
Thank you very much Smuttynose for hosting a great event for an even better cause. We look forward to supporting you again next year!

Stewart Electrical helps deliver IBEW Local 103 Christmas Donations
Stewart Electrical Contracting, Inc. and Colby Bruce were delighted to help with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103 Christmas Toy, and Hat & Glove Drive by delivering some of the donated items to our hometown of Lawrence and also to Methuen.
The first stop was at the Lawrence Community Center, the second stop was at the Lawrence Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, and the last stop was in Methuen, MA where over 75 displaced and refugee families are being temporarily housed and in desperate need of assistance.
Stewart Electrical Contracting, Inc. and Colby Bruce were delighted to help with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103 Christmas Toy and Hat & Glove Drive by delivering some of the donated items to our hometown of Lawrence and also to Methuen.
