Stewart Electrical Contracting (SEC), founded in 1983 by Master Electrician, Frank R. Stewart, is New England’s leading full-service Electrical Contractor, providing custom solutions for over 41 years. SEC is a 35-person operation, led by 3 Master Electricians with 108 combined years of electrical experience. SEC is licensed to operate in all 6 New England states: MA, NH, ME, VT, CT, & RI.

As an NECA‑IBEW electrical contractor, we have access to highly qualified, safe and experienced manpower from IBEW Local 103. Stewart Electrical is comprised of 3 Divisions:

  • SERVICE (Commercial, Industrial, Biotech & Life Sciences, Non-Profits, EV Charging, Residential)

  • ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION (Electrical, Fire Alarm, HVAC, General Contracting)

FRANK R. STEWART

FOUNDER/PRESIDENT/CEO

FRANK R. STEWART, Founder, President & CEO of Stewart Electrical Contracting, Inc. received his Journeyman Electrician License in 1983 and his Massachusetts Master Electrician License in 1997 followed by his Masters in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.

Frank founded Stewart Electrical Contracting when he was only 19 years old. With over 46 years of experience in the industry, he now leads a 35-person operation, one of New England’s premier, full-service Electrical Contracting businesses.

Frank Stewart is committed to excellence, quality workmanship, and professionalism on every project. He prides himself on delivering all work on time and within budget, using state-of-the-art equipment and the latest energy­-efficient technologies. Frank has an outstanding reputation in the field—earning him a multitude of loyal, long-term clients. 

In 2023, Stewart Electrical celebrated 40 years in business!

Frank was the recipient of the 2017 "Christian Worker Recognition Award" from St. Joseph the Worker's Shrine for "demonstrating Christian values in the workplace". He donated numerous hours, labor, equipment, and materials over the several years, including the installation of LED lighting, security systems and HVAC at the Shrine.

COLBY K. BRUCE

Master Electrician
OPERATIONS MANAGER

COLBY K. BRUCE has been with Stewart Electrical Contracting since 2004, working his way up from being an Apprentice Electrician to his current integral position as Operations Manager.

He is a Greater Lowell Vocational School graduate, attending Peterson School in Woburn, MA for his Journeyman, Masters Electrician & Continuing Education coursework. A Licensed Master Electrician in 5 States: MA, NH, ME, CT, and Vermont, Colby became a Journeyman Electrician in Rhode Island in 2023. He possesses 26 years of expertise in the electrical contracting industry and became a member of Local 103 IBEW at the May 17, 2022 swearing in ceremony in Dorchester, MA.

In 2023, Colby Bruce was honored to be invited by the NECA to the Bell Cohort of the Innovation Institute. (August 2023 - August 2024). Each of these 10 recognized national leaders within the electrical construction industry have already achieved considerable career impact within their organizations. Through the advocacy of their executive teams, they have been identified as the innovators of tomorrow. They are strategic, inquisitive, and capable of achieving the highest ranks as pioneers and visionaries for the future of construction.

CHARLIE P. DUCHAINE

LEAD FOREMAN, ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION

CHARLIE DUCHAINE joined Stewart Electrical Contracting in 2021. As the Lead Foreman for Elevator Modernization, he oversees a team of 12 in the Elevator Modernization Division.

Charlie studied Electrical at Greater Lawrence Technical High School and attended Martin Electrical & Technical School in Norwood, MA for his Master Electrician coursework.

A Licensed Master Electrician in 5 States: MA, NH, ME, CT, and Vermont, Charlie is also a Journeyman Electrician in Rhode Island. He possesses 36 years of expertise in the electrical contracting industry.

Charlie became a member of Local 103 IBEW at the May 17, 2022 swearing in ceremony in Dorchester, MA.

Prior to Stewart Electrical Contracting, Charlie worked at various electrical shops specializing in commercial and industrial electrical work.

JOSEPH M. STEWART, MSF

Masters in Finance
FINANCE & PROPERTY MANAGER

JOSEPH M. STEWART is the son of Owner, Frank R. Stewart. He manages the Financial & Real Estate Operations for Stewart Electrical Contracting, FJS Realty, and Stewart Realty Trust since 2016.

Joseph is passionate about financial management for small businesses and carries the spirit of entrepreneurship. He is a practical, strategic thinker and draws from experience in the residential and commercial real estate industries, retail management, small business accounting, and outside sales positions.

Joseph studied Business Management and Finance at Suffolk University in Boston. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from his Undergraduate Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree program and earned his graduate Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree; an inductee into the Beta Sigma Gamma business honor society.

Joseph specializes in small business financial consulting and property management services. He works with small corporations, proprietors, and Non-Profit organizations.
